This female-owned studio is known for its finest 18k gold chains and rings. Her collection is inspired by the swallow (hirondelle) from Oscar Wilde's story "The Happy Prince," and is made with the wish "May you sow many seeds (pepin) of happiness." Mayumi founded hirondelle et pépin in 2000 while studying metal curving at art college. Without drawing a design sketch, she delicately crafts every single pieces, feeling the materials with her hands.
